Zoo

One thing that I dislike about Florida summers is that they are so stinken HOT!  But that doesn't stop us from exploring and creating adventures. 

I took a week off to travel to beautiful Kentucky but we couldn't seem to take off these past few days with Benjamin not feeling well. So we decided to make the best of what we had and go to the zoo.

Monday- first day of vacation and we went to Naples Zoo. At first I thought this will be so fun since Benjamin loves animals and he was old enough to understand. 

But the Florida heat was to much for us no matter how much we tried to cool down, shortening our trip in half. 

Grateful for this day.

Creating memories with my boy has become something that I cherish. Realizing how fast he is growing and developing only makes me marvel in every moment we have. Knowing that in a few weeks he will be different and I wont got back this moment and enjoy him that way again.

   

For the past 2 hours he has been playing soccer with a hot pink bouncy ball on a tennis court and just laughing and having a blast. 

          

As we are chasing this ball in what feels like 100 degrees with a 90% humidity rate that our beautiful florida paradise offers in the summer, I imagined Benjamin 5 years older in this very same scenario and it made me laugh. In this stage he is so carefree and just running wild, but 5 years from now he will develope his own interests/likes and I will never get to share this carefree moment again.

Weekend Scare

Before I go into this weekend, I will start from the beginning.

We became parents of a perfect little boy on February 8, 2014. It has been a wild adventure since that day. Benjamin is a healthy, adventurous, silly, and absolutely adorable little boy. He is very big for his age so many people think he is older then he actually is.  In fact sometime I have to remind myself that he is still little and is still vulnerable. 

This weekend my little man got really sick to the point that he was throwing up because he was coughing so hard. By the time we made it to the ER he was turning pale because he was struggling to breathe. Poor guy had to go through 2 breathing treatments and now has to take a little inhaler for the next week. Still struggling with his coughing at night but he is much better. 

I'm back

I haven't done my blogging in a LONG time. But I want to start up again. I have always loved writing my thoughts and ideas down. Since the age if 13 I have been journaling my experiences and feels. Back then it was a little diary that has a cute little lock and key that seemed to hold all my secrets in, as I grow older it became a way of releasing my emotions, thoughts and prayer on to paper. In today's society it is known as blogging.

I try to be the kind of person that when my feet hit the floor in the morning even before my morning fix of coffee the devil says " oh crap.. she's up!". I stand strong on my belief that life is too short to wake up with regrets life taught me that. so I say love the people who treat you right. But most of all Love the ones who don't just because you can and your better then that. I say believe everything happens for a reason, if you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. Especially if it changes your life. let it. I truly believe in kissing slowly and forgiving quickly. God never said life would be easy, he just promised it would be worth it. I m only strong as the coffee I drink the hair spray I use and the friends that I have. Here is to my family and friend the real people who walking with you when the rest of the world walks on me..
